Personally identifiable information (also called personal information) is information that identifies you individually. It is our policy to collect only the personal information we need to receive payment for and to provide you with Sky Angel® Services, and to provide you with quality Web site Services. These are the specific types of information we collect from our customers and Web site visitors:



If you are a Sky Angel® customer, we collect information needed to Service your account, such as your name, address, age, telephone number, account number, subscriber plan, e-mail address, credit card account number, bank account number, social security number and other information you provide to us online or as a customer.



Your receiver collects information about the viewing choices that you and those in your household make, but that information is not associated with or linked with Sky Angel® Customer Account Information. This information may be summarized without identifying individual subscribers for the purpose, among other things, of measuring viewer interests, programming preferences and viewer penetration levels. We may share this summary information without personal identifying information with programmers, sponsors, and business partners.



Most of the Services on SkyAngel.com are available without our collection of any personally identifiable information from you at all.
Some of your information may be automatically collected by our Web servers as you browse our site, even if you are not a Sky Angel® customer. Our Web server automatically collects information known as “clickstream data,” such as the domain name of the site providing you with Internet access, the Internet protocol.
(IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, your browser type and version, operating system and platform, the average time spent on our site, pages viewed, information searched for, access times and other relevant statistics.
We use this information in the aggregate to measure the use of our site and to administer and improve our site.



Customers and Web site visitors may subscribe to enewsletters, special event alerts and/or special offer notices, and have the option of unsubscribing from these free e-mail Services at any time. Sky Angel® Web site(s) may also be used to order products or Services; activate programming; or enter promotional drawings. Sky Angel® customers may also receive marketing and promotional information in the mail. In these cases, Sky Angel® collects any or all of the following personal information: first and last name, age, billing/mailing address, shipping address, phone number, e-mail address, credit card number/ expiration date (when purchasing goods or Services), and receiver identification information.



Sky Angel® customers may have the option of joining our Viewer Advisory. The Viewer Advisory Board provides Sky Angel® with valuable feedback about key advertising, service quality and availability issues, such as development of advertising copy, selection of advertising images, identification of advertising vendors and strategic partners, identification of opportunities for improvement in programming, online and offline customer Service, as well as other similar uses. Members of the Viewer Advisory Board give Sky Angel® feedback by completing one or two brief surveys each month. Sky Angel® only uses survey results to inform our efforts to enhance the Sky Angel® customer experience. We may also send Viewer Advisory Board members messages about issues of interest or special events. Information relating to Viewer Advisory Board membership, completed surveys and survey results remain confidential. You may opt out of the Viewer Advisory Board at any time by clicking on a link provided at the bottom of survey e-mail communications or by e-mailing us at customerrelations@skyangel.com.



Sky Angel® TV or WebTV service subscribers may be asked to participate in an annual survey designed to gather information from subscribers related to key advertising, service quality and availability issues, such as development of advertising copy, selection of advertising images, identification of advertising vendors and strategic partners, identification of opportunities for improvement in programming, online and offline customer Service, as well as other similar uses. Subscribers may give Sky Angel® feedback by completing one or two brief surveys each year. Sky Angel® only uses survey results to inform our efforts to enhance the Sky Angel® customer experience. Completed surveys and survey results remain confidential. Participation in these surveys is optional.



Our Web sites use cookies, information files that your Web browser places on the hard drive of your computer when you visit a Web site, to determine the number of unique users to our Web sites over a given period and to remember user screen names so that the need for multiple logins is eliminated.
We do not link or combine information collected through cookies with personal information you have shared with us. Most browsers used by visitors have options that allow the visitor to control whether the browser will accept cookies, reject cookies, or notify the visitor each time a cookie is sent, but setting a browser to reject cookies will limit the range of features available to the visitor on our site.



SkyAngel.com links to outside Web sites that are governed by their own privacy policies and terms of use, including information collection practices, which may be substantially different from Sky Angel’s. SkyAngel.com does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. Sky Angel® considers any personally identifiable information we receive from you confidential, and it is our policy to use it only in providing our television and radio Service—from sales and installation, to operations, administration, advertising, marketing, support, network provision, maintenance, communications with you, billing, collection and in other ways related to providing our Services. We may provide name and address only to business partners for the purpose of offering additional services and promotions. You may opt out of such use by emailing or sending us a written request at the address found herein. We may also use such information in dealing with fraud and unauthorized use of our Services. Sky Angel® may retain personal customer information in its regular business records as long as someone is a customer or until no longer needed for business or legal purposes. Our security measures for this information are discussed below.



As a matter of overall policy, we do not sell, rent, transfer or disclose your personal information to third parties except as found herein, subject to the following limited exceptions:



Sky Angel® engages contractors and other third parties to provide online account management, technical assistance, order processing/fulfillment and other Services that support our business activities. The Communications Act, 47 U.S.C. § 338(i) applies to our practices for collection and disclosure of your personally identifiable information. If you believe that we have violated the provisions of the Communications Act, you may bring an action for damages, reasonable attorney’s fees and costs. The Sky Angel® Customer Agreement demonstrates our mutual agreement that claims such as these will be resolved by binding arbitration. We have provided each customer with a copy of the Customer Agreement. The current version of Sky Angel® Customer Agreement is also available at www.skyangel.com.



If we are acquired by another company, that company will possess the personally identifiable information Sky Angel® has collected, and it will assume the rights and obligations regarding your information set forth in this Privacy Policy.
