Shadow of the Moon
By Jim Phelps August 30th, 2010I just watched a real gem on Sky Angel VOD — The Shadow of the Moon. This documentary gives the complete history of the Apollo space program, including crew members for every single Apollo mission which flew to the Moon, and allows them to tell their story in their own words.
I was 10 years old when Apollo 11 landed on the Moon, and Neal Armstrong, the first man to set foot on the Moon, uttered his immortal words: “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” I can still remember it to this day.
It was really exciting to watch the entire history of the Apollo program, because I was too young to remember anything before Apollo 8 - the first one to actually go to the Moon (although it didn’t actually land on the Moon).
I highly recommend Shadow of the Moon.
