Lincoln, VOD!

I really enjoyed the intimate¬† portrayal of Abraham Lincoln in the new Spielberg movie, “Lincoln”¬† The movie only covered about a four month period up to his untimely death, and I was especially fascinated with his interaction with his family in this detailed account.¬† I did not realize that his oldest son enlisted in the Union Army without the approval of mom or dad, and the younger child apparently could roam the White House at free will visiting Abe, and at times while he was in a meeting! What I liked most though was Lincoln’s portrayal as a gentle but firm spirit; he was bold but not over-bearing and was a mastermind at overcoming obstacles. His speeches were truly amazing… I love this quote from the movie,

“I could write shorter sermons but when I get started I’m too lazy to stop.”

It’s an excellent portrayal of the one the best presidents this nation has ever had! You can find “Lincoln” in Sky Angel’s VOD section.
