I just saw some very funny programs — Thou Shalt Laugh 2, 3, 4, and 5. You can find these programs at the following location:
Video On Demand / Movies / Comedy
I was disappointed not to be able to find Thou Shalt Laugh 1, because these shows keep you laughing from beginning to end. Each show features several comedians who (1) are very talented and (2) keep it clean. In fact, all of the comedians seemed to be Christians, as they all included at least a little bit of “Christian humor” in their acts.
Taylor Mason is one of my favorite comedians, and he and his puppets were in all of the Thou Shalt Laugh programs.
One feature I liked about these shows was that in most cases, the host was a comedian himself; and in between acts, the host would keep you laughing with his / her own monologue.
If you’re bored, or if life is not too good for you these days, watch the Thou Shalt Laugh series. You will definitely be cheered up!

One of my favorite shows on Sky Angel is Joni and Friends. I saw it on Channel 126 (NRB) at 11:30 AM on Dec. 12th.
Joni is handicapped — she is a quadriplegic. I remember years ago seeing the movie Joni, where I learned her story. She was a competitive swimmer. However, one day she dove off of a dock into shallow water and broke her neck. From that point until now, she has been paralyzed from the neck down.
Joni stuggled with questions about why God would allow her to become totally paralyzed, until she was finally able to trust God with her life. She went on to start the radio program, TV program, and the ministry, called Joni and Friends.
In her TV program, Joni explores the hard questions — why does God allow someone to be handicapped? However, her programs are always filled with hope and trust in God. And she is always finding a way to help someone who is handicapped, or highlighting a handicapped person who has overcome doubt in their own life.
I am always inspired when I watch Joni and Friends. And thanks to the video rewind feature of Sky Angel, and the fact that many Sky Angel channels carry Joni and Friends, you can watch the show at anytime!

Moving time has arrived for our household and I wish it was as easy as the picture!

Moving is stressful and can be overbearing at times. So many things to do and places to call to schedule the move. And the packing, yes the packing doesn’t end!

We made a wise plan to pack from 9am to 5pm and remember in between to take a break and eat. My haven in the evening is my recliner and watching Sky Angel IPTV.
The best part of having Sky Angel IPTV is I won’t have to schedule a moving installation and wait for someone to come. I just have to have the phone company turn on the DSL, turn on the TV and then plug in our Sky Angel IPTV receiver.
The last items to get packed will be the TV and the Sky Angel IPTV Receiver. It will also be the first items we unpack. We go to settlement on the 28th and move on the 29th so pray for us for strength!

I just saw a great movie on Sky Angel Video on Demand — Turbulent Skies. You can find it at the following location:
- Video on Demand
- Movies
- Action / Thriller
This movie is about a new type of airplane — one which is flown completely by computer, without the need of a pilot.
Everything starts out ok, but soon things go haywire, because of a certain problem which arises. I don’t want to spoil the surprise and tell you what it is, but let’s just say that the airplane’s computer system has some “bugs” in it.
The plane ends up flying off course, and someone must step up to the plate and rescue everyone on board. The US Air Force actually gets involved at one point.
The acting is excellent, and the movie is very believable.
When I was young, the good guys always seemed to win in the end. Is that what happens in this movie? You’ll have to watch it yourself and see!
There is one occurence of the “d” word, but that’s the only part of the movie to which anyone would object.
I recommend this movie.

Family Issues & You:
TV Guide: Is TV Too Gory?
Michael Schneider from TV Guide writes on the latest TV trend, a new age of horror and thriller series that rely on graphic portrayals instead of “psychological scares.”
“Horror is a polarizing genre, which is why the networks mostly avoided it. But times have changed, content standards have loosened, and cable is able to target a niche crowd that likes a little gristle in their TV diet.
The horror genre has made a bit of a comeback in recent years, as audiences grew accustomed to more graphic thrills via the popularity of movies like Saw, Paranormal Activity and The Human Centipede (some of which have been dubbed “torture porn” because of their graphic nature). Also, dark procedurals like CSI and Criminal Minds made it safe to show brutalized corpses in prime time, paving the way for some of the gruesome images on TV’s horror explosion.”

If you’re like me, you love to hear good, annointed Christian music, ALL YEAR LONG.
For me, the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas can be a depressing time, because I DON’T CARE FOR CHRISTMAS MUSIC! I just want to hear the good old basic annointed stuff.
For this reason, I was really glad to discover Sky Angel radio channel 208, All Worship. All Worship plays good, annointed, worship music 24/7/365! I never have to listen to Elvis and other secular artists when I turn on the Christian station! And as much as I like Silent Night and other Christian Christmas music, I now have an alternative.
Now if I can only figure out how to play it in my car…

I’ve always been interested in archaeology and biblical history. Years ago, I ran across the Creation Research Institute. CRI put out lots of programs and materials showing that the Bible account WAS scientifically correct.
One of their speakers was Dr. Ken Ham. So I was intrigued to find a program on Sky Angel called “Answers in Genesis” (channel 114 - AFA Channel - 3 AM Saturday). I backed up to that program and played it, and, lo and behold, it was Dr. Ken Ham!
I watched the program to see what he would talk about — the topic was genetics. Specifically, he stated that over time, we lose genetic information, rather than gain it. In other words, you pick up dominant and recessive genes from your parents. If you continually intermarry with people you are closely related to (that’s what they did in the early days of man), the dominant genes “win”, and the recessive genes drop out of the picture. However, if you intermarry with people you aren’t related to, your children will pick up genes that they wouldn’t have otherwise gotten. He used dogs as an example, with long and short hair genes. In cold climates, the long hair genes would win, because the short hair dogs would die off. The opposite would occur in hot climates.
He concluded that this law of genetics disproves evolution, because according to evolution, we GAIN information; but in reality, we are continually LOSING information, unless we intermarry with those we aren’t related to.
Answers in Genesis is a very interesting program. Their web site is www.answersingenesis.org.

The program, “Answer’s in Genesis” is a wonderful program that I watch on the AFA channel. The program airs once a week with two different segments: the “Answers creation hour” and the normal program, “Answer’s in Genesis.” Both segments deal with an array of different subjects ranging from sharing your faith to creationism to biblical science, etc.
This week’s episode was an “Answers Creation hour” and it featured Ken Ham, who presented a discussion called, “One Blood, One Race.”
What Ken tackles here is the topic of race and where all the people came from.
Well, right off the bat he references the Bible and points to Genesis 5:4 as to start the conversation of where people came from, if there was just one man and one woman. The book of Genesis references “Adam and Eve and sons and daughters” and that Eve was given her name because she was to be the mother of all the living. So originally, brothers and sisters got married at that point in time. In fact, it wasn’t until the time of Moses and the book of Leviticus that marriage of close relations was prohibited. So what that means is that for 2500 years close intermarriage was normal but then it changed as the growth of the human population changed.
Then Mr. Ham backs up every statement said with scripture, regarding the story how people came from different races, or people groups, all coming from the destruction of the Tower of Babel, and relating the changes in humans from the beginning to now as the way that animals still stay the same kind of animal as their DNA changes over time with mating.
“Answer’s in Genesis” is a wonderful program. I would highly recommend this to families with children in school, because they are being show all different kinds of ways that we came to be as people that is not biblical in any ways. I would also recommend this program to anyone with questions or concerns over things that they might be too afraid to ask their pastor or other kinds of religious leader. Again, solid theology and great programming with a little bit of humor mixed in here and there.
And so watch and enjoy. Who knows, you learn a thing or two. God Bless

I really enjoy Whitestone pictures. I’ve watched almost all of their offerrings and some more than once. This is a great short film about breaking bonds of slavery and a distinctive Christ focus. I love the beat to the song and the performance as well. In one word the presentation is, powerful. Check out all that Whitestone has to offer. If you have a good stereo system and like intense music, play this loud! God bless!

I am very excited about the upcoming upgrades to Sky Angel IPTV and WebTV new features in early 2012. I currently have two Sky Angel Receivers the Series l and Series ll. We use the Series ll receiver in our living and Series l receiver in our bedroom. So we will be just fine for the upgrade since we watch our living room TV 95% of the time.
But it’s highly recommended if you only have the Series l to update your receiver to the Series ll as the Series l won’t be able to receive the upgrades because of memory and processing power to support the upgrades. Sky Angel will continue to support the Series l with the current level service and features for the foreseeable future at this time, but you won’t be able to enjoy all the new upgrades coming in 2012 with Series l receiver.

What are some of the 2012 upgrades?
Sky Angel will be upgrading its video delivery software. Not only will this new system upgrade deliver a more reliable, higher-quality viewer experience, but it will also provide many of the exciting features you’ve been asking for such as an interactive electronic program guide, personalized settings for time zones, HD capability, automatic screen adjustment and adaptive streaming to adjust picture quality based on the strength of your Internet service.
How will this transition affect your equipment?
For a limited time Sky Angel will sell a new Series II receiver at a discounted purchase price to current Sky Angel TV subscribers who are currently using the Series I receiver and have no outstanding balance on their account. Delivery could take up to 8 weeks or more depending on demand, the availability of the manufacturing process and international transportation delays. Shipping and activation fees may apply. Equipment and activation subject to availability. For complete details visit www.skyangel.com/upgrade.
Exciting news for Sky Angel WebTV Too!
Along with the Sky Angel IPTV upgrades the distribution of the Sky Angel WebTV service to mobile/connected device (i.e. smartphones, Roku, iPad, etc.) and TV sets that support Internet connectivity without a set top box. And Sky Angel WebTV is available World Wide!
Get ready for Sky Angel to change the world on how we watch TV one more time! Share the news! Its like waiting for a new present and I can’t wait to get it!
